7 nights - A week of wild adventure
Day 1 & 2: Sasaab
Program
We will arrange transport from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Wilson Airport for a 1h 20min flight to Samburu where you will be met on arrival and taken to the lodge in time for a late lunch.
Site
Situated on the high banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, Sasaab commands breathtaking views across the arid landscape of the Northern Frontier.
Accommodation
Sasaab’s design is inspired from Moroccan and Swahili style. Our airy rooms, enormous bathrooms and secluded plunge pool offer a cooling relief from the African heat. We welcome you on arrival in our lounge area with a refreshing drink.
Experience
A safari in Samburu land is vastly different to that found in any other part of Kenya. The Samburu Special Five (Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich Gerenuk and Beisa Oryx) are found in the area. Gain knowledge on the Samburu traditions on our fascinating cultural trips. Explore the great outdoors in our fly camps or take a ride on a camel. Or just relax and unwind at our luxurious Spa.
Day 3 & 4: Solio Lodge
Program
After breakfast you will taken to the Sasaab airstrip to take a private charter flight directly to Solio airstrip adjacent to Solio Lodge - about a 20 minute flight.
Site
Solio Lodge is situated on Solio Ranch, a 45,000 acre ranch, with a 19,000 acre game conservancy.
Accommodation
Each cottage is exquisitely created with large glass windows and private decks, with the emphasis on space, light and privacy. Warm up by our cosy fireplaces in the bedrooms and enjoy two nights of unforgettable safari.
Experience
Solio Lodge provides plenty of exciting activities including walking and trout fishing in the Aberdares and Mt Kenya, helicopter flights and horse riding. The Game Reserve is home to large numbers of black and white rhinos who live in harmony with the other abundant wildlife that includes a vast array of birds.
Day 5 & 6: Sala's Camp - Masai Mara

Program
After breakfast you will be driven to Nanyuki to catch your flight to the Masai Mara and then head straight to Sala’s Camp, with a small game drive en-route.
Site
Sala’s Camp is situated in the relatively unvisited southern area of the Mara, very near the border of the Serengeti in Tanzania. It is here that the great herds of wildebeest first migrate into Kenya at the begining of July each year in search of better grazing.
Accommodation
The camp offers a traditional safari-under-canvas experience. Having started as a mobile safari operation, the true sense of an opulent mobile safari operation still exists in the camp, and offers a taste of early pioneering days. Each of the tents is spacious, with olive wood beds and en suite canvas bathrooms that have flushing toilets and hot showers, and outside each tent is a private hammock perfect for relaxing and afternoon siestas. read more
Experience
Explore the Masai Mara on our spectacular game drives arranged early in the morning and late in the evening when the animals are most active. Or book a bush lunch, take some binoculars and go further afield to find the wildlife in some of the most remote corners of the Masai Mara. Play volleyball in the river bed or just relax and enjoy the view from the hammock outside your tents. We can also arrange an evening drive accompanied by sundowners, a nice way to end the day.
Day 7: Giraffe Manor
Program
After breakfast we will take you to the airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. On arrival you will be taken to Giraffe Manor in time for lunch.
Site
Giraffe Manor is set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of an indigenous forest and only 20 kilometres from Nairobi city centre.
Accommodation
Using 1930s grandeur, Giraffe Manor is an exclusive boutique hotel reminiscent of the early days of Europeans in East Africa. Six en suite bedrooms with contemporary touches as well as attention to detail offer a remarkable stay.
Experience
The sanctuary surrounding the manor is home to Rothschild Giraffes who frequently visit the hotel in order to assess any newcomers. Our large veranda and terrace allow our guests the opportunity to get very close to these animals and to feed them by hand. The giraffes are completely wild, making this an experience unlike any other in the world. We invite you to enjoy a walk in the sanctuary and visit the Giraffe Centre located within the Manor grounds. Or you could take a trip to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and see orphaned elephants and rhinos. You could also visit the Karen Blixen Museum or purchase gifts to take home from our diverse local designers and artisans.
Day 8: Farewell Kenya!
After breakfast at Giraffe Manor you will be returned to the International Airport for you flight back home.
