SIRUAI MOBILE CAMP
At Siruai Mobile Camp, our guests are treated to a classic, authentic safari experience, where you will be sleeping in luxury canvas tents under the stars. The mess tent sits at the top of a ridge overlooking a salt lick and waterhole, where elephant and Grevy’s zebra are regular visitors. Hidden from view, the tents are scattered amongst big granite boulders and fig trees, with spectacular views from each of their private verandas. With cosy beds, en-suite flushing lavatories and traditional safari bucket showers, guests can relax in the height of comfort, whilst still feeling close to nature. At night, sit around an open camp fire under some of the starriest skies you’ll see.
Location
Currently situated in the privately owned 43,000-acre Suyian ranch in central Kenya and perched on a rocky ridge line, the camp overlooks the Ewaso Narok River valley and the Laikipia Plateau, with views of Mount Kenya and the incredible scenery of northwest Laikipia.
Accommodation
Seven canvas tents are hidden amongst big granite boulders and fig trees, with spectacular views from their private verandas. Inviting beds, en-suite flushing lavatories and bucket showers, allow guests to relax in comfort, whilst feeling close to nature.
Activities
Discover this wild corner of Kenya on foot, or in a vehicle, at your own pace and with no one else around. Kayak or go tubing in the river just beneath the waterfall. Game viewing opportunities are around every corner in this outdoor adventurer’s paradise.
Game Drives
This paradise is home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra and African wild dog, lion, leopard, hippo, ostrich, reticulated giraffe and elephant, providing lots of game viewing opportunities.

AN OUTDOOR ADVENTURER’S PARADISE
At Siruai Mobile Camp, the days are warm and sunny, with cooler evenings. There is a safari vehicle for game viewing and your private guide will personally host you throughout your stay. On a few occasions the hosts could even be The Safari Collection directors, Tanya and Mikey, who can’t get enough of this unspoilt wilderness. There are charging facilities available in camp, but there is no wifi and phone connectivity is limited. We encourage you to enjoy the freedom of being disconnected.
We welcome children of all ages to the Siruai Mobile Camp. The exciting outdoor activities and exploration opportunities which Siruai offers are especially appealing for older children who love the outdoors. We have one tent next to the mess area which can accommodate three children if needed. Being completely disconnected will enable families to turn off their devices and reconnect with each other and nature.
EXPLORE SIRUAI MOBILE CAMP
Arrive by charter flight into Siruai’s private airstrip, which is just over an hour’s flight from Nairobi, and enjoy a leisurely twenty-minute game drive to camp OR arrive by scheduled flight into the neighbouring Loisaba Conservancy which is approximately 45 minutes by road from the camp. Alternatively, the journey to Siruai Mobile Camp takes five hours by road from the capital city of Nairobi and approximately 2.5 hours from Solio Lodge. The altitude ranges from 6,200ft /1,890m to 5,500ft / 1,680m.
