STAY AT Sasaab where you will start your safari holidays in Kenya

GETTING THERE From the moment you touchdown at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and accompanied to Wilson Airport for your one hour flight to Samburu. On arrival at a Samburu airstrip you will be met, introduced to your guide and taken to Sasaab for a delicious lunch.

EXPERIENCE A safari holiday in Samburu is different to other parts of Kenya. Whatever time you arrive, we will be ready to greet you with a warm and friendly welcome. There is so much to do at Sasaab. You can learn more about local Samburu traditions or take a camel ride. Go fly camping, explore the wilderness and sleep under the stars. Those who prefer to relax can take full advantage of the luxurious spa at the camp. Wherever you go look out for the Samburu Special Five – Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx.

STAY AT Solio Lodge

GETTING THERE After breakfast you will be transferred to the Sasaab airstrip where your 20 minute private charter flight to Solio awaits.

EXPERIENCE As you head out each morning, you will quickly realise that Solio is extraordinary. Not only is it home to large numbers of black and white rhino, it is also the only lodge on the Conservancy. This exclusivity, along with the large numbers of plains game, lion, leopard and buffalo who also inhabit the Conservancy make game spotting easy to view. Afternoons at Solio Lodge can be spent walking, riding and cycling on the Solio Conservancy or trout fishing in the neighbouring Aberdare National Park.

STAY AT Giraffe Manor

GETTING THERE After breakfast you will fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where you’ll be met and taken to elegant Giraffe Manor for lunch.

EXPERIENCE No safari holidays in Kenya are truly complete without staying at the iconic Giraffe manor. This classic manor house is home to Rothschild’s giraffe that frequently visit the hotel to meet guests, who enjoy feeding* these charming animals from our large verandah and terrace. Although the giraffes are gentle they are wild, making this an experience unlike any other. We also invite guests to visit the Giraffe Centre located within the Manor’s grounds. You can also take a trip to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and meet orphaned elephants and rhinoceros. Karen Blixen Museum is also a popular choice and you will have the chance to shop for art and gifts by local Kenyan designers and artisans.

* The giraffe at Giraffe Manor are wild and therefore we cannot guarantee interaction with them at any given time.
