DAY 1 and 2

Whatever time you arrive there will be a warm and friendly welcome

STAY AT: Sasaab

GETTING THERE: We’ll arrange your transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Wilson Airport for your 1hr 20min flight to Samburu. On arrival you will be met and taken to Sasaab for lunch.

EXPERIENCE: A safari in Samburu is different to other parts of Kenya. Look out for the Samburu Special Five – Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx. You’ll learn more about Samburu traditions, take a camel ride or go fly camping, exploring the wilderness and sleeping under the stars. Those who prefer to relax can take full advantage of the luxurious spa at the camp.

DAY 3 and 4

The wildlife is easy to view, with large numbers of plains game, rhino and lion

STAY AT: Solio Lodge

GETTING THERE: After breakfast you will be transferred to the Sasaab airstrip where your 20 minute private charter flight to Solio Lodge awaits.

EXPERIENCE: You will never be short of something to do at Solio Lodge, from walking, riding and cycling on Solio to trout fishing in the neighbouring Aberdare National Park. Solio Conservancy is home to large numbers of black and white rhino that live alongside lion, leopard, buffalo and much more. 

DAY 5

Meet the resident Rothchild giraffes

STAY AT: Giraffe Manor

GETTING THERE: After breakfast you will fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where you’ll be met and taken to elegant Giraffe Manor for lunch.

EXPERIENCE: This classic manor house is home to Rothschild giraffe that frequently visit the hotel to meet guests, who enjoy feeding* these charming animals from our large verandah and terrace. Although the giraffes are gentle they are wild, making this an experience unlike any other. We also invite guests to visit the Giraffe Centre located within the Manor’s grounds. You can also take a trip to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and meet orphaned elephants and rhinoceros. Karen Blixen Museum is also a popular choice and you will have the chance to shop for art and gifts by local Kenyan designers and artisans.

* The giraffe at Giraffe Manor are wild and therefore we cannot guarantee interaction with them at any given time.

DAY 6

Farewell Kenya

After breakfast we will take you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return flight home.
