The Safari Collection has partnered with Community Health Africa Trust (www.chat.org) to provide family planning and education to the women in our communities. Currently, the Kenyan population has reached 37 million and is growing at a rate of 1.3 million each year. On average, each woman in the nomadic communities of northern Kenya has seven children. Through education and safe, affordable contraception, we aim to enpower women, ensuring the long-term sustainability of people and wildlife. At Sasaab we have provided family planning education to 1221 community members and 283 women chose the 5-year implant as their contraception of choice. $50 will provide 10 women with long term (5-year) contraceptive implants.
