The Safari Collection has been involved in the orphanage at Mary Immaculate Hospital for several years and guests at Solio Lodge are able to visit if they would like to. Most of the girls and boys there have lost one or both of their parents or come from families who are unable to afford to look after them. Their time is often split between boarding school and Mary Immaculate, and many of them are also able to spend some time staying with members of their extended family when there is a chance. We are in the process of starting an internship programme for the young adults to be able to do work experience at Solio Lodge after they finish high school to help them prepare for their lives as adults in the working world.
